At the recent iMoot 2013 Conference, Moodle Founder and Lead Developer, Martin Dougiamas, outlined the future for Moodle. Mobile and analytics is where Moodle will keep going – this will help teachers to become more efficient. The mobile interface needs to be simple and notifications has to be really good.
Martin is a believer in computer-aided teaching and learning. He says:
Moodle has to be quite intelligently feeding you the information you need at a particular time. If you have to do something to learn or to teach, Moodle should give you that reminder and say now is a good time, and maybe give you an indication of how urgent it is, so that you can tune that feed to exactly what you need and the way you like it.
